About :

The Association of Indian Primatologists is happy to announce its first online workshop for budding primatologists!

One of AIP’s core objectives is to encourage networking among Indian students and early-career researchers involved in primate-related studies and support them by providing quality resources relevant to this field. The idea of conducting an educational workshop was first conceptualized during our meet in Bangalore last year. While we initially envisioned a hands-on, in-person workshop, travel restrictions due to the pandemic have led us towards developing a virtual workshop instead.

To this end, we have developed this Basic Course in Primatology! Since this workshop aims to introduce basic concepts and developments in primatological research in South Asia, it will cover a wide variety of topics ranging from behavioral ecology to molecular techniques. Head over to our schedule to look at the complete list of planned classes. Each class will be conducted by a resource person who has several years’ experience of working in this field - giving all the participants a glimpse into the possibilities that lie within the classic yet the ever-developing field of primatology. Have a look at the speaker's list to know about our faculty, several of whom also comprise the advisory committee for AIP as well.
